More top honours for Plum with Heron five star rating
27 February 2007
Plum Financial Services (Plum) has taken out top honours from The Heron
Partnership (Heron), awarded a five star quality rating for 2007 which is rated
'outstanding quality' by the independent advisory service.
In Heron's 2007 ratings Plum was awarded five stars – that is the highest rating a
superannuation provider can obtain and it follows closely on a top rating Plum
received from Chant West late last year.
According to Plum's Managing Director, Mike Fitzsimons, Plum's success was due to
its continued focus on innovation to meet the changing needs of its members and
sponsoring employer clients.
'Not only do we have a sound investment strategy that is reaping rewards for
members, but we have a comprehensive member education program and innovative
services that continue to lead the superannuation industry,' he said.
'With major legislative change slated as part of the Government's Simplified
Superannuation reforms, we have a lot more work ahead to ensure Plum continues
to receive these top ratings.
'We have already begun educating our members on the benefits of the changes and
have a comprehensive program of work underway to ensure we are systems ready
from 1 July 2007.'
This is the second year in a row Plum has received the five stars rating from Heron
and the fourth year in a row Plum has received Chant West's highest rating of five
apples. Heron assessed 122 individual funds and awarded its top rating of five stars
to 25 corporate funds and 28 retail funds – Plum received the five star rating in both
categories!
