Mail2Me - Insurance adequacy and what women really want.

This month we look at the importance of having adequate insurance cover and a new tool Plum has introduced to help you gauge how adequate your insurance cover really is. In addition, we consider some of the women specific issues our new super education kit for women addresses and finally we provide an update on the recent Australian sharemarket turmoil and asset class return.

Mail2Me - Plum PODcasts prove popular

Welcome to another edition of Mail2Me. An audio PODcast version of this newsletter is available every month and will feature super news as well as investment and education features. To download Plum PODcasts, all you have to do is download the MP3 file from the link below.

Plum's first PODcast, launched in June 2007, saw an impressive 64% of subscribers download the file. The PODcast described how you might put the Government's new tax cuts to work saving for your retirement.

This month we look at the Association of Superannuation Funds' (ASFA) findings about the state of Australians' super balances. Are Australians saving enough for their retirement? How much is enough to live 'comfortably' in retirement?

Mail2Me - Plum podcasts have landed.

You may have noticed there's been plenty happening in super in the past year. The Government's super changes - making super both simpler and sweeter - has sparked unprecedented interest from people wanting to take advantage of Australia's more attractive super environment.

Inevitably change generates information - and sometimes even information overload.

At Plum, we think it's vital to provide our members with clear communication, which is easy to understand. We also recognise that people want information presented in accessible, but appealing formats. That is why we're always looking for new ways to communicate to members whilst catering to a range of learning styles, and addressing the various degrees to which members want to get involved with their super.

To that end, we've launched our first Plum PODcast.*

Like Plum's Mail2Me, new PODcasts will be available every month, and will feature extended information and education features.

Our first Plum PODcast is topical - and potentially valuable. This month we look at the strategy of investing tax cuts into super and its long term effects. You may be surprised at what a difference this could make.

We also have four tips to remind you how you can take advantage of the new super rules - coming into effect on 1 July 2007 - and an education feature on estate planning.
