Dr Mark Deady
PhD, BPsych (Hons)

Dr Mark Deady is a UNSW postdoctoral research fellow at the Black Dog Institute and works in the Workplace Mental Health Research Program. He has over ten year’s research experience in the field of mental health and substance use disorders. In this time he has worked on a range of projects at a coronial, epidemiological, and clinical level. His work focuses primarily on prevention and treatment within at-risk populations (including youth, high-risk industries, and substance users), with a focus on delivery through eHealth (electronic healthcare). Dr Deady has made a defined impact in the area of development and clinical trial evaluation of eHealth tools for mental health treatment and prevention. He has most recently led the core arm of a $3 million trial of a workplace mental health program, the largest ever depression prevention initiative globally and the largest depression app-based trial.

Tim leads a team of health professionals who support employee mental and physical health and drive initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing. He has over 18 years experience in this area in various industries including Aviation, Logistics, Transport, Security and now in Financial Services.
