Cookies
What are cookies and the types that are used by our website?
Cookies are tiny pieces of information that we ask your browser to store and remember. There are two types of cookies:
- Session cookies. These are temporary and are deleted when you shut down your browser, log off or after your computer is inactive for 45 minutes.
We use 'session cookies' to track your session, i.e. the time you spend on our site. The session cookie lets us know that you have logged on and it allows us to maintain your privacy as you move from page to page. It also acts as a timer, switching off after a certain period of inactivity to prevent unauthorised access to your account information. - Permanent or persistent cookies. These are stored on your hard drive and read by your browser each time you visit our website.
